Trick Or Treat Posters

Are you happy to have the youngsters knocking on your door for Halloween? Or perhaps you would rather be left undisturbed during that evening, for whatever reason.

Choose which poster below is most appropriate and follow the instructions.

What you need to do

Whichever posters you would like to print (even both if you want), you should follow the image link to the full-size picture. Once it is opened, right-click on it and choose "Save Picture As..." to save it in your favourite folder (the default is the "My Pictures" folder in Windows XP). Or you can choose "Print Picture..." and print it straight away.

Once it is downloaded, open it with your favourite picture software, and print it from there. You can also use the Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, click on the Print icon on the bottom right-hand side, and follow the wizard, which will include a preview.

This method should enable you to print either of these posters on a sheet of A4 paper, and you can put it up on the inside of your door's window pane or your front window.

If you know someone who might need one of these posters, an elderly neighbour or parent, a vulnerable person, or simply someone not so computer-savvy, why not print one for them. Mention our website to your friends and family, they might also be interested.

Halloween Welcome

If you are happy to open your door to youngsters during Halloween, you can save this picture on your computer, so you can print it and put it up on your door to let them know that they are welcome.

Maybe you'd rather not be disturbed, and would like to avoid any unnecessary knocks on your door. If that's the case, you can choose to print this poster instead.

Halloween No Callers

This year we are offering an alternative to the posters above. So if you fancy a change, or just want to put one on the door and the alternative one on the window maybe and give your house a festive look, you can dowload both "Yes" or "No" versions of the new posters here.

What The Law Says

People should be aware of what they can or cannot do according to the law. Everyone wants to have a good time, not get into trouble, and by being aware of what's in and what's out, Halloween and Bonfire can definitively be a fun time for everyone.

  • It is an offence for under 18’s to possess a Category 2 or 3 firework in a public place (allowed indoor fireworks and sparklers).
  • It is an offence to supply persons under 18 with fireworks. Caps, cracker snaps, novelty matches, and party poppers may be supplied to persons 16 and above and can be possessed in public.
  • Fireworks may not be used during the night hours of 11pm to 7am. However on designated fireworks nights the restrictions are as follows: November 5 – curfew operates between 12 midnight and 7am the following day.

Remember that throwing eggs and flour at property is classed as criminal damage - and the police will deal with all incidents of anti-social behaviour accordingly.

The Flintshire Community Safety Partnership is also sending out its Halloween & Bonfire Night Community Safety message. Read it here.

"Fireworks - Are you responsible?"

Read this leaflet and make sure you know where the law stands regarding fireworks.
