Flintshire Neighbourhood Watch came out in force to do their bit for Children in Need.

Click for full pictureFlintshire Neighbourhood Watch Association, using our 'Olde Vintage Police unit', Y-kops, and our Y-factor youth mobile unit, with 'Billy the Burglar' and team, visited Buckley, Hawarden & Ewloe, meeting members of the public, local businesses and schools, raising awareness of Doorstep Crime & Twilight burglary as well as encouraging people to donate to BBC Children In Need.

Rt Hon Lord Jones PC featured in 'Ye olde Flintshire Neighbourhood Watch unit' at St David's Park Hotel.


Click for full pictureFNWA, working with South Flintshire Neighbourhood Policing team officer CBM for Buckley Jane Ryan and Hawarden and Ewloe's CBM Chris Pullen, were out and about on Friday 20th November, raising funds for the BBC Children in Need. Both officers dressed up in 1940's uniform and were supported by PCSO's Kim Shurmer, Tracy Parry and 3 police cadets.

Later on that evening FNWA, our Y-kops 'Olde Vintage Police unit', with officers and police cadet, attended the BBC studios, for a filming which appeared later that evening of TV !

Allan Ellis said: "In total we raised £1,200".

This was helped by local businessman Mr Peter Shone of Buckley who helped facilitate the preparation and transport of units.

Ye Olde Flintshire Neighbourhood Watch unit will be launched officially in Flint on 7th December 2009 at our Annual General Meeting.
